Hi I'm Elder Carson Garner

I am an outdoors man. I love music, sports and life. I am a missionary in the Deutschland-Berlin Mission and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love the great outdoors anything; hunting, fishing, rock climbing, mountain biking, surfing. You name it I do it. I also love playing the gutiar and ukulele, working out, cooking and most importantly sleeping!!! I was born in upstate New York and have lived everywhere in between there and Hawaii. I was part of a two time State Cross-Country championship team at Ogden High School. I studied for one year at Weber State University am going to major in communications, digital media (photography and videography) and minor in German. I did Cross-Fit the last year before I left home to go on a mission. I am now a missionary in the Germany, Berlin Mission. I am a Mormon and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but I had much different circumstances than others. I grew up in the military and so most of my friends were not Mormon. I had a to make the choice wither I wanted to live the standards of the church or not. I decided that I would live it until I knew for my self wither it was true or not, because why not its a good life. As I grew I slowly gained a testimony of the truth of this gospel. It then came to a point where I had to decide whither I was going to go on a mission or not. I had applied to go to the United States Coast Guard Academy and had a scholarship for Cross-Country. Then I got my acceptance letter and against all odds it said I had not made it. I was devistated and was mad that God had not helped me. I then went to Weber State University instead and while there under the advisement of my Father I took a Mission Preparation class at the LDS Institute. It was during this time that I had the impression that I need to go on a mission to preach the Gospel to the World. I have learned so much and felt so much that it has brought me to the knowldege that there is nothing in the world that could make me deny the truthfulness of this gospel and this church. After all the experiences that I have had since then and all of the love that I have felt from my Father in Heaven and his Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ there is no way or circumstance that could make me deny that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ that was restored by Joseph Smith. I love this Gospel and I hope to share it with all!

How I live my faith

I grew up in the church and went to seminary and Institute and learned a lot of great lessons. I made a lot of great friends all over the world because I grew up in the Military but most of my life my best friends were not members of the Church. I tried to live my standards so that those around me would see the good example. I am so glad that I was able to be an example to those People that I came in contact with. As a primary age child I was homeschooled and my mom decided that we needed to read the Bible at home so by the time I was 10 I had personally read the Bible. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latte-Day Saints we believe that it is a commandment to serve a 2 year mission. So I am on a mission in Germany preaching and teaching the good news of Christ. I love it and live it!
