Hi I'm Joe

I grew up in Utah, I'm preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am number ten of eleven children. I was born into the LDS Church and was raised in the LDS church. My father passed away when I was only thirteen and that experience solidified my testimony that Jesus is The Christ, The Savior of the World and that all of us have a loving Father in Heaven who loves us and desires all of his children to return to his presence. The experience also confirmed to me the reality that the family unit and family relationships are meant to be perpetuated beyond the grave and that they can be perpetuated beyond the grave through the proper authority, the authority given to mankind once again on earth. I enjoy reading the word of God and making people laugh. I am an avid sports watcher and love any sort of college sport.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know with all that I am that this Church which I belong to is the only completely true and living church on the earth today. I am a Mormon because the things that I learn from this church make me feel happy and myself teaching can make others feel happy. I am a Mormon because this church has power within it, it has the power and the authority of the priesthood which brings me strength and comfort. I am a Mormon because I know that it is the will of Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven that I be one.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what it teaches, loving and serving my fellow man. I have served in many organizations with my school and community and have had the wonderful opportunity to serve people in my community and communities around the world. When we are in the service of our fellow man we are only in the service of our God (Mosiah 2:17 Book of Mormon). I've found that the quickest way to make yourself happy is by making another happy and that principle to me is one of the foundations of my faith.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Joe
The tithing that church members pay goes into a fund that helps pay for the building of temples and meeting houses as well as operating funds for the church. It also funds the mission program and Church Education System. Show more Show less
