Hi I'm Jacob

I'm from Utah. I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy singing and playing Ultimate Frisbee. I have five brothers and one sister. Currently I am preparing for a mission and I report in a few days. When I get back I hope to study to become an engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found that nothing makes me happier than when I am doing what my Father in heaven wants me to. I have had many experiences where I was frustrated, scared, or confused and each time that I turned to him in prayer everything turned out okay. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that God exists. He listens to every prayer and knows our every need. By turning to him and by abiding by his commandments anyone can receive comfort for the trials they are facing. Christ truly payed for our sins because he loves us. And because he loves us he will take care of us if we allow him to.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being Christ-like. I am Christian and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Both of those names contain Christ and he is the center of my religion. Because of this I try serve others just as Christ did. One of the most common ways I serve is by helping people move. My family is comprised mostly of large boys and add to that the fact that I live near a condo complex and well, lets just say I know a thing or two about how to carry a large sofa. I have found that serving others is one of the best ways to come closer to God. When I serve it makes me want to study the scriptures more and in general it makes me feel like a better person. I have also found that when I don't serve as much I actually begin to miss it. As I keep the commandments and follow Christ's example I feel closer to God and all the challenges in my life start to look up.
