Hi I'm Miles

Hello! My name is Miles, and I love to be with friends, speak Russian, and play the guitar. I am a son, brother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love Asian food, being with my friends and family, and exercising. I love music, playing the guitar, speaking Russian, and wood carving. I love learning new things, and I love to teach what I learn to others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, or in other words, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, because I have gained my own witness and testimony that Jesus Christ lives, that He loves and cares for us all, and that He has enabled us through His atoning sacrifice to live again and be able to return to our Heavenly Father. My family and friends played a strong influence in my decisions to progress in the Gospel, just as anyone around us plays a strong role in how we think, feel, and even act. I am so grateful that I was put into a position to have such access to those who love and care about me and who I am becoming, and for seeing me for who I am even when I couldn't see it clearly at times. All of this said, my decision to join the Church was mine and mine alone. I know that by being baptized and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost when I was 8 years old were the first steps to being converted to the Gospel. I have had many witnesses of the truth of the Gospel from that early age, and I know that it is true. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I seek daily to learn the words of God through reading, listening to, and acting on the doctrines found in the Book of Mormon and the Bible. This helps my testimony of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father grow each day, and I understand more and more just how much they love me. I love to help others understand that our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, loves them as well, and try to see opportunities throughout my day to do so. Recently, I have completed my two year missionary service for the Church in the Russia Vladivostok Mission, and this great opportunity has brought me much joy and happiness in living the Gospel and sharing the great message of love and joy this Gospel brings. I have seen just how much our Father in Heaven, as well as our Savior, Jesus Christ, loves the people of Russia, and this has confirmed my testimony that the Lord is no respecter of persons, but loves us individually and personally, no matter our country, nationality, gender, or circumstance. We are simply His children, and that makes us something so much more, which I strive to learn and understand better everyday through personal connection, prayer, with my Father in Heaven. I promise He hears; I know He hears.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead, Heavenly Father being the first, and His Son, Jesus Christ, being the second.Together they are one in purpose, which is to bring Heavenly Father's children back to the truth and back to Him. The Holy Ghost is not like the Father and the Son, They having bodies of flesh and bone, while the Holy Ghost is a personage of Spirit. He is the one who testifies of the truth, comforts, and uplifts. Show more Show less
