Hi I'm Kyle

I play the trumpet in a marching band. I have a passion for computers and robotics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just recently graduated form high school where was in a number of different organizations. I played the trumpet in the marching, concert, and jazz bands. Band for me has always been a fun time I get to spend with my friends and a great hobby, but my real passion in high school was with our Vex robotics team. I learned how to build and program robots and through the hard work of our team, we qualified to go to the World Championships 2 years in a row! At the competition we did very well, and this last year we came home with a trophy for sportsmanship! We met and competed with people from all over the world. Vex was definitely the highlight of my high school experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church, and my parents were vigilant in teaching me about the church I belonged to and they taught me to always do the right thing. I always believed in what my parents taught me, but I didn't really know for myself that it was true until I prayed and asked God about it. I know because I have felt in my heart, that our God is our literal Father, who loves each us more than we can imagine. And because he loves us so much he gave his only Son Jesus Christ to atone for our sins so we can return to Him again. I have prayed and asked God if the Book of Mormon is true, and I know that it is a true record of the ancient people in America, and I know that the Gospel that those ancient peoples wrote about is true, and through a latter day prophet, Joseph Smith, Christ's true church has been restored to the earth. This church has brought so much joy and comfort to me in my life, and I want everyone to be able to experience the joy that it brings.

How I live my faith

I do a lot of things to show my faith. I served as a secretary for our youth group where I helped to plan activities and make sure everyone knew when, where, and what we were doing for our weekly activity. I also was asked to visit and teach two families each month, with my dad. This was an excellent way to bring our neighbors together and really get to know people in the neighborhood. I also have been called to serve a mission in Chicago, Illinois and I am excited to share the joy this gospel brings to me with the people there.
