Hi I'm Bryan Ramirez

I grew up near the Beach. I love to swim and listen to rap and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to swim, I swam all throughout high school, my favorite stroke was the freestyle, but I am best at the butterfly which caused me to have to swim it in every race. I was originally born in New York, but moved to the beach and I am loving it here. I also love to eat! I want to travel around the world getting to know different cultures and religions and peoples and foods! Always looking for new things to look and do and always looking for a new adventure to take down in life. I am currently serving a mission in the grand Salt Lake City South Mission and I am loving it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church, but I really didn't believe in it for practically my entire life. My actions and my lifestyle was leading me to a place where I knew that I would not be happy at and so I decided to take up the challenge that this church gives out, which is to read the Book of Mormon and discover from God himself if it was true. I can't really say that I got an answer my first try, so I got frustrated and denounced the religion, however after a few months I decided to try again with all the desire of my heart I prayed to know if this was the true church and I still did not get my answer immediately. After a few months I received an answer from God himself which I knew I could not deny and I have never looked back since. The gospel is true, it can change lives, I know for myself because it changed me for the better forever and I know that it has the power to do the same for everyone else.

How I live my faith

I can't say I was very good at doing this in the past, but I am trying my best to make up for it now. I love to do service for others, cooking dinners, cutting trees, moving stuff, visiting the elderly, whatever it is, I am always down to help someone in need. I also love to meet new people and make more friends, it is a blast to get to know a person's story. I also love to share the message of the restored gospel with as many people as I can, I know how much the gospel can help people and I try to share it with everyone that I meet.

What is being a Mormon like?

Bryan Ramirez
Being a Mormon can be hard at times, but it is always worth it. A lot of people believe that the commandments that we live by restrict us and do not make us truly "free". What I have seen in my life is that living the commandments of God is what truly makes you free. It enables you to truly pick for yourself what you want to do with a clear mind. In essence, being a Mormon is hard because of all of the temptation that is around, but it is also the most rewarding because of the fact that we truly free ourselves as we continue to obey God.
