Hi I'm Larry Bennett

I grew up in Utah. I'm a 6th generation Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in central Utah. My father owned a small farm and grew alfalfa and grain and had a cow-calf operation. I learned to work hard as I grew up. I have a BS in Zoology and a MS in Entomology. I was involved in agricultural research on pesticides for most of my career, working for various Universities and private companies. I have lived in Utah, Arizona, Ohio, Florida, Michigan, Washington, Oregon, and now reside in Idaho. I like to travel, fish, hunt, read and enjoy visiting with friends and family

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the understanding that the gospel of Jesus Christ which is taught by the church gives me as to the purpose of this life and my relationship to God and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have been given the opportunity to learn and grow in the Gospel by the many callings and assignments that I have been given. I truly love the church because the Savior Jesus Christ is the head of it and we are led by a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

Since I've lived in many different areas of the United States, I've had the opportunity to serve in many callings such as bishopric counselor, Branch president counselor, Branch president and High councilor. I've also taught young men in the church. and have been a stake and ward missionary. I enjoy attending the temple and work as an ordinance worker in the local temple. I enjoy giving service to friend and neighbors. My wife and I have been called to serve as area family history missionaries and will be serving in the Auckland, New Zealand mission.
