Hi I'm Alex Cunningham

I grew up in Idaho Falls, ID. I love all types of sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in my family sports are everything. No matter what my family does, or where we go some how it involves a sport. As I got older I began participating in them competitively. Around the same time I ran into some health problems. I was hospitalized at Primary Children's hospital in Salt Lake City. The doctors there said that the only way I was to get better was high dose drugs that were going to have major side effects, and one requirement of taking these drugs was no physical activity. My life came crashing down, and my childhood dreams seemed ruined. As I started my medication schedule all my friends from school were suiting up for football season. A season I was going to have to sit out. I was being slammed from two different directions. One being the physical side effects of the medications I was taking and the other the mental side of not out playing with my friends. During the treatments I gained around 60lbs and broke a few bones due to the bone decay from my health conditions. I also suffered from depression and anxiety. Threw all of this the Lord was right by my side and blessed me beyond belief. I regained health and the next seasons I was out playing with my friends again. I even played threw high school. Starting on both varsity football and basketball teams. My journey wasn't easy, but I know the Lord was the one right by my side helping and guiding me along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because threw my life experiences nothing has brought me more happiness. I was born a member but as I have grown I have felt gods love and the spirit has manifested to me that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. Now I have had my fair share of mistakes but as I come back to the truth and repent of my mistakes I know that Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to follow what is right, and I know the teachings of this church is the right and unmistakable truth.

How I live my faith

I try and live as close to the gospel as possible. How I Live my faith is just trying to show others what joy the gospel brings into my life. I work as a masonry worker and most of my co-workers are non-members and many even have had run ins with the law. During the time I have worked there, there hasn't been a day where someone hasn't asked me about my beliefs, or how our church works. I love these opportunities to explain and share. I just try to live my faith my example to others.
