Hi I'm Jayna

I am a native Idahoan. I love being a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a pretty simple kind of gal. I love my people- my husband and four kids. I studied Psycology for four years in college and I use that knowledge daily as I interact with others. I am a proud native Idahoan (fourth generation)! My husband tried to make me a California girl, but that didn't work out...we've now raised our family in Boise for the last 9 years. I am a major home body who loves creating through home improvement projects, well-rounded kids, and a close and happy marriage. I love food, but not cooking it! I hate exercising, but I like being healthy. I am practical, laid-back, and loyal. I read, read, read and I'm a bit of a book snob because of it! I love to travel, my favorite spots last year being Scotland and Ireland! I guess that's it- basically I try to live a happy, productive, and drama-free life.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into a faithful LDS family, at age 12 I was challenged by a loving church leader to gain a testimony of my own. At that young age I prayed and pondered and read my scriptures and realized what my spirit had always known: This is the true restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Every day since that time I have tried to live a purposeful life, committed to becoming like the Savior in as many ways as I can. I'm not perfect, but every day I try to be a little kinder. As I've gone through life, as a teenager and college student and newly married woman and now as a mother of four little ones, I can see how living the principles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has made me so very happy. I am free to choose how I live, and I choose this religion because I know that it is right and good.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily as I strive to become a better person. I feel like serving my family is the quickest way I can achieve that goal! Being a Mom is hard work...I'm so thankful I have Heavenly Father to guide me daily as I make my way through life. I love teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in many different capacities. Right now as I prepare to teach the adult women on Sundays, I love to study the words of the prophets and learn so much.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is like belonging to a big extended happy family. No one is perfect but everyone is trying hard to be a good Christian every day. You always have someone to turn to for help, comfort, and the sharing of joyful activities. Show more Show less
