Hi I'm Nicole Wilson

I was born and raised in Texas, I love music, and I'm proudly Mormon!

About Me

I am the third of four children. I have two sisters, a brother, and a dog full of energy! I grew up in Frisco Texas and have lived in the same house for 15 years. My parents divorced my Freshman year of High School, but I continue to have a strong relationship with both of them. I grew up playing sports such as tee-ball (elementary school), and basketball for a few years. I picked up tennis in middle school, and still enjoy playing it often. I love listening to music and attempting to play the piano! I love my family and cherish every moment I have with them! I'm about to serve in the Washington Spokane mission and I can't wait! I look forward to continuing my education in the fall of 2016 when I return home and I hope to find a career that helps others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church is true. It wasn't easy figuring that out. I grew up in the church until I was seven, meaning I wasn't baptized, when we fell away. About six years later, my mother told me she was going to take my younger sister and I back to church. I remember being really upset about it, but being forced into it, there was nothing I could do. We took missionary discussions off and on for a year. In January 2010, the Lord sent us two wonderful elders. We took lessons from them for five months. At the beginning of June, they invited us to follow Christ's example and to be baptized by the Priesthood authority for the 25th of the month. Unlike my sister, I was very unsure about it. It was one of the most stressful months of my life. Finally, the Sunday before the assigned date, I decided to get baptized and then asked God if it was right that night. I woke up with feelings of peace and joy. I remember that night perfectly. I can't remember a happier, more joyous moment and I'm a much better person now than I ever imagined I would have been!

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. I try to absorb myself in the scriptures everyday, I talk to my Father in Heaven in sincere prayer daily, and I try to keep a positive attitude and outlook in life. I make a sincere effort to serve the people around me as James 2:17 states "faith if it hath not works is dead". I love making people happy and strive to uplift those who are in need of it as my Heavenly Father does for me when I'm in need of comfort. I study the attributes of Christ and try to take on those attributes. I have a testimony of the restored gospel and I strive to live my life in a way that enables others to see that testimony through my actions.
