Hi I'm Ardie

I grew up in Utah and Pennsylvania. I'm a retired teacher who still teaches. I am a mother and grandmother.

About Me

I grew up a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a young child, our home was in Provo, Utah but when I was nine, the family moved to Pennsylvania. My father was a convert to the Church and wanted us to have experience living in the mission field. Growing up where the Church was young and growing gave me many opportunities to learn and grow in service. I went to Brigham Young University and earned a degree in Education. I was a teacher both in Utah and also in the Tampa Bay area. I was widowed at 26 and was left with a young son to raise on my own. I moved to Florida to be near my parents and other family members and have lived here since 1982. I'm now retired but still work consulting for a textbook company, substituting, and working for Junior Achievement. One of my greatest joys is my family including four great adult children and three grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to follow the Savior and live my life in such a way to live again with Him and my Heavenly Father. I know this is Christ's church restored in this dispensation. I know we have a living prophet who leads the Church in divine direction. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My newest Church service is teaching the high school students in my congregation in an early morning class to study the scriptures. We start at 6:00 AM. I love the students and am so impressed that they see the importance of arming themselves spiritually to start their day. I have loved every calling I've had from working with the young children, the young women, and the adult women in my congregations. I love serving in the Church.
