Hi I'm Alli

I'm grew up in Canada. I married my best friend. I love to try new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Canada and was born into the church. I love singing and I love chemistry. Reading books is a serious passion of mine and I'm always searching for that next great read. I love to go on road trips and I love to visit my family! They are very spread out but sometimes the trip to get there is just as good as the visit. I love to try new restaurants and new foods. Its such a thrill to find a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with the best food. I married my best friend and we love to go places together, even if its just to the grocery store. We are both such talkers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was 18 and had just moved out of the house. It was at a time in my life where I was so unsure about where I stood. I wasn't able to commit myself to being a Mormon because I felt that there was so much left undone. I had decided to give it up for a while to see what it was like for a normal teenager when something amazing happened. An answer came to me that I was never searching for. I knew that at that moment, my Heavenly Father was aware of me, He knew the decisions I was about to make and He loved me all the same. He warned me in such a manner that I couldn't ignore it. That was the moment I felt that my decisions, no what they were, mattered to Him. I am so grateful that I was able to have such an experience. I know that I am loved. I was able to make the very personal decision after that, to live my faith as a Mormon. I knew that I hadn't missed out on anything, but that I had gained so much more. I feel joy, love and peace that I had never felt before on my own. My testimony is the most precious thing to me and I constantly guard it.

How I live my faith

I have been involved with the music in my wards as long as I have held a calling. Music is such a gift to people and it is so highly regarded in the church. Most Sundays, I sit in the congregation and listen to the beautiful hymns and find that there is a Spirit that music brings. I love to pick the hymns that we sing! Then I get to pick all my favorites which I guess is pretty much the whole book. I love looking around me while we sing and watch people sing. I love the looks on their faces as they sing the words. Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes to know that the song we sang was able to make them feel joy and calm.
