Hi I'm Kelson

I'm a hockey and rugby player. I love music, singing and playing guitar. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the youngest of 5 boys and now two sister-in-laws. I am a recent High School graduate living in St. George, Utah and I'm working and preparing to serve a mission in the Mexico Mexico City East Mission this November. I love playing Hockey with a passion, but due to a Rugby injury in March of 2014 (a Lisfranc dislocation) and resultant surgeries I have been unable to do that since my surgery in April. I plan to attend Brigham Young University in Provo, UT in the Winter semester of 2017 and want to study business and engineering. I love learning and have a passion for technology and the use of it. I've been in the Nauvoo Pageant 7 summers and just this summer got to be in the Nauvoo and British Pageants in Nauvoo, IL with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found through study, prayer, and confirmation of the Holy Spirit that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the very Gospel which Christ taught and the very church he organized when he was on the earth. I know that the Church has been restored, and this concept is not new to the Lord or to the Lord's people. Over and over again in the scriptures we see the Priesthood and presences of God taken from people because of their lack of righteousness and lack of faith. Just like Abraham, Moses, Noah, and Jesus Christ himself, Joseph Smith was a Prophet called of God to restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's entirety on the Earth and to lead God's people through His Priesthood. I know this because I, like the Prophets old and new and truth seekers since the beginning of time have taken to ask the very God who gave me life if these things are true and He has testified to me through his Spirit that they indeed are, and I simply cannot ever deny that!

How I live my faith

I am currently a Primary teacher to an awesome group of 8- and 9-year-old children. I love being able to be with them every sunday and hear their sincere prayers, thoughts, songs, and testimonies. Although it can be like herding cats with a water hose trying to keep their attention at times, I am often in awe at their understanding and remembrance of Gospel truths and principles. Outside of Sunday meetings I study the scriptures and also the words of the living Prophets and Apostles to try and expand my knowledge and prepare myself to teach others on my Mission.
