Hi I'm Chuck

I am a Husband, I am a Father, I am a road biker, I help build the worlds fasted light business jet and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for over 30 years. I am a father of two girls and two boys, their ages are 27, 21,12,10 and two grand children ages 8 and 6 months. We did not plan having our kids so far apart but we feel blessed to have each of our children. We are avid cyclists, we ride both mountain bikes and road bikes. We also enjoy camping and riding ATV's. Professionally have been in the aerospace manufacturing industry for over 25 years. Over the last 3 1/2 years my partners and I have taken on a new business. We purchased the rights to manufacture a 7 passenger light business jet. We are re-starting the manufacturing process and will deliver our first jet in about a year. I enjoy watching my boys play sports and my girls dance. My wife loves to travel and we have been fortunate to be able to seen many different countries and experience the different cultures around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors were some of the first members of the Church. I had ancestors who helped build both the Kirtland and Nauvoo temples. My ancestor, Levi Jackman was with Brigham Young as he came across the plains for the first time. Levi was one of the first six men to enter the Salt Lake valley before Brigham who was ill, arrived. Since that time, my family has been strong members of the Church. I parents taught me as a child to know and love Jesus Christ for the sacrifice he provided to us all. As I reached adulthood, I studied and prayed, investigating the principles of the Gospel for myself to see if the teachings were true. I came to know for myself that the Church's teaching of Jesus and his eternal plan for us is the plan that our Father in Heaven has for us to return to him. I gained a testimony of Prophet Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon was translated by the power of God and it contains the teaching that God wants his children to follow. I know that we are lead by a living Prophet today and he is the mouthpiece of God on the earth today. This knowledge provides me piece and joy and comfort that I have a Heavenly Father that knows me and loves me.

How I live my faith

I have served as an instructor, a home-teacher, a young mens' president, High Councilor and currently I am a member of the Bishopric in our ward. As a member of the Bishopric I am responsible for overseeing the youth ages 12 to 18. I work with the adult leaders to coordinate activities for the youth.
