Hi I'm Scott D Sharp

I was born in Worland Wyoming and moved to Salt Lake City. I grew up mostly in Cedar City Utah and I'm a mormon.

About Me

My biggest hobby and ambition right now is bagpiping. I have been involved with bagpipe bands for nearly 30 years, mostly as a drum major. At the age of 50, I decided that I would learn how to play the bagpipes. I have been taking lessons for nearly a year. My biggest motivation for this is being involved in the Nauvoo Pageant bagpipe band. My wife and I have been to Nauvoo for the past 4 years and we are now the directors of that band. Being a grandpa, being with my wife and kids and playing a little disc golf are some of the things that I enjoy the most.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and have been an active member most of my life. It wasn't until about the last 5-10 years that I really became actively involved. I have always gone to church and been a pretty obedient member but it wasn't until I gained a strong testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ that I really progressed. Our missionary experiences both in Nauvoo and at home have strengthened my testimony so much and has sparked a fire in me to continue to share my testimony with others and help bring others to Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith a great deal through bagpiping. Playing the bagpipes and participating in the Nauvoo Pageant has been an amazing experience for me. I also serve in a leadership capacity in my Ward in Cedar City. We are currently organizing a neighborhood party and have many opportunities throughout the year to help and serve others. Serving others is one of the most rewarding things in my life.
