Hi I'm Dallin

I'm a choir nerd, I'm a PC/Console gamer, I'm a welder, I'm a dog and cat boarder, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy helping others with everyday challenges that they are facing whether it be helping a good friend to ask a girl out on a date or helping someone I barely know through a hard struggle in their life. I eventually plan on going to college and majoring in mechanical engineering. I have participated in many sports throughout my life so far and I intend on keeping active.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to a Mormon family and was thus raised as such but the reason why I have not fallen away from the church is because one day while I was sitting in Sunday school when I was about the age of 14 my teacher said to the class something along the lines of "If you don't have a testimony yet don't worry you don't need a major spiritual experience in order to know that the church is true. All you need is a desire to know for yourself that the church is true, and he will make it known to you." At this point I thought " Well I guess I'll try this for a bit and see how this goes if I don't get anything till I'm 18 I'll decide what to do from there." and so I desired to have a testimony I prayed, I went to church, I read the scriptures with my family, and eventually I was taking notes during General Conference and President Uchtdorf was speaking and he said "Perhaps you might think that you are not needed, that you are overlooked or unwanted, that you are nobody. I am sincerely sorry if any priesthood holder feels this way. Certainly you are not overlooked or unwanted by your Heavenly Father. He loves you. And I tell you with certainty that you are needed by your Church." Now at this time I was 16 about a year and a half ad passed since my deal with myself and I had already a fairly strong testimony of the church but at the very moment that he spoke those words I was overcome with the spirit and I no longer believed that the church was true, I KNEW and still KNOW that the church is true. That is why I am a Mormon because I had a simple desire to know if the church was true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the words of Christ, visiting the temple often,by helping others with whatever problems they may have, and by learning and sharing the gospel with my friends and family.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Dallin
As a soon-to-be missionary this has been a question that has been asked to me a few times. I have always answered the question with another question and then adding some supporting comments. I ask Have you ever had something or had done something that was so awesome or exciting that you just wanted to share it with everyone you know? This is similar to what I feel and perhaps other or all missionaries around the globe. Only we aren't here to tell you of how we dominated at a video game, or how we created a marvelous work of art. We are here to invite you to feel the joy that we feel in our faith we are here to invite you to come unto Christ. Show more Show less
