Hi I'm Emily

I'm a twin. I'm a mother of two sets of twins. I'm a wife. I'm a graduate student in Marriage and Family Therapy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for nearly 23 years to my best friend. We have been blessed with four children, two sets of twins; two boys who are 16 and two girls who are 12. I am currently a graduate student, studying to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I am passionate about strengthening marriages and families. I have a particular interest in helping women struggling with infertility, postpartum depression, adjusting to motherhood, life transitions, and other challenges unique to women. I love to learn and to share what I learn with others because I believe that with knowledge and greater insight, we can make choices that can change the course of our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God lives, that He sent His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to come to this earth, and Atone for our sins. I know that He was resurrected, and that He lives! I believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to the Joseph Smith and that through Their direction, the gospel has been restored in its fullness. The Book of Mormon was translated from an ancient record, as another record to testify of Jesus Christ. I have read it and know that it is true. I have a testimony of these things. It has been a blessing in my life. I am so grateful to have been blessed with the gospel all my life. I cannot imagine what my life would've been without it. This has been the foundation upon which I have built my life. In Helaman 5:12 it reads, "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in my church and community. I have worked mostly with women and young women, promoting health, well-being, life skills, and faith. These experiences have also helped me increase in confidence, taught me leadership skills, and develop empathy and compassion for others. I have also had many opportunities to teach and instruct youth and others about my belief in the gospel. These opportunities have helped me in developing my faith and testimony in my Savior, Jesus Christ, as I have shared my testimony with others.
