Hi I'm Annette

I was born in Arizona, was raised in Utah, but currently live in and love love love North Carolina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an Office Manager at an electrical company here in the Triad area. I am married and have no children. I hope to have my own children one day, but am thankful for the many opportunities I have had thus far to be a mother to those in need. Those experiences have definitely strengthened me. I love to serve others, and enjoy writing.

Why I am a Mormon

Years ago I knew that I would need to know for myself that the Church was true. My parents had strong testimonies, but they were theirs not mine. One day I decided to do what the missionaries are always asking others to do, "Read the Book of Mormon and pray to know for yourself if it is true." I was about 12 years old at the time, and determined to do it. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through. I remember the day I got done, it was a Sunday, and I was anxious to get home from church so I could pray and ask my Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon was true. I remember getting home that day, and racing to my room and shutting the door right behind me. I will never forget that moment I didn't even make it with both knees to the ground before an overwhelming rush of the Holy Ghost and clear answer received, "Yes it is true". Heavenly Father knew what I wanted to know and that was a great testimony to me of not just the truthfulness of the gospel, but also that our Heavenly Father is always aware of what we are doing, and what we need. I cannot deny the power of the Holy Ghost and the priceless gift received that day. I love my Heavenly Father and so thankful for my testimony. I know that gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today that leads and guides the Church under the direction of Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that no matter our condition in life that our worth to our Heavenly Father never changes. We are his children and he loves and knows us best. I'm thankful for the miracle of forgiveness and know that it is through our faithfulness and willingness to follow Him, Jesus Christ that we are saved. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Each day I enjoy getting together with my husband for scripture reading and family prayer. I also enjoy my own personal scripture reading. As a member of my community I try to be a good example to others. I'm imperfect, but know that I can serve others with something as small as a smile. I know it has made me feel a better when having a rough day, to see a sweet smile. In the Church I've been blessed with the opportunity to serve many children. They have been such great teachers to me. I'm enjoying planning activities and sharing in their joy as they learn and grow.
