Hi I'm Marion House

I'm a student. I'm a researcher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Having been constructed and inspired for the past nineteen years by: family, friends, church, prophets, Beakman's world, the Met, books, unicycles, Alt-J, ukuleles, art, travel, New York, BYU, Mr. Fred Rogers, biomedical engineering, Iceland, running, "War Horse", National Parks, thrift stores, Laverne and Shirley, marathons, gardens and other significant and random things, I am now heading off to the fly-over states to share the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon from a part-member family; I was born with a mother who taught me the gospel and a father who would have supported a decision to not continue membership. While this was hard at times, I can see now that it provided me with the opportunity to fully choose for myself. This is what I know: I am happier when I follow the commandments; I feel confident when I make a decision with the help of the Holy Ghost; I have more direction and purpose when I study the gospel plan; I can realize my potential, and my potential is vast; I can make goals for constant progression; serving others makes my life better. I am a Mormon from a family who loves me and has taught me to be honest and true to myself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeing the humor/value during obstacles, helping prepare discussions for the women in my church, looking for needs others have and trying to meet them, working towards fulfilling my potential by studying hard at school, being in the moment with my family, learning about people from other backgrounds, helping my sister train her ferocious small dog, treating my body with respect by eating right and exercising, and preparing to serve a "foreign mission" in the Dakotas.
