Hi I'm Evan Rolfson

I'm Canadian. I'm either playing ball or jamming out. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hey there! Names Evan. I've been born and raised in this frozen tundra called Canada. More specifiy, I've lived in Alberta all 15 years of life! I've played the violin for 10 years, played basketball before I could walk, and born into a family of Mormons; and over the years, I've become one myself as well. I love trying new things like guitar, ukulele, volleyball, deep fried pickles, and anything else that catches my interest! More important then anything in this world is my family. I have a loving Mother, Father, and three siblings. They mean everything to me and I love them so very much. I enjoy long walks, napping after school, talking with interesting people, and working towards things I'm passionate about. So yeah, that's basically me!

Why I am a Mormon

I feel that the reason of my 'why' has changed through out my life. As a kid it was because my family was, I had friends at church, I didn't really have a choice and I was relaying on my parents faith. Even though I've been a member of the church all my life I didn't grow a personal testimony until I was a teenager. I started to see the real struggles of life and the poor decisions people were making. That pushed my to find the truth for myself and I'm so glad God manifested his love and teachings to me. Now that I've found this beautiful gospel, my heart and soul has been full of the love of christ and his grace. I'm a mormon because a life without it would seem empty, without purpose, I would be lost. This amazing gospel has given me the map to my life's journey that continues after I die. This truth is too correct for me to deny its perfection. As much as I love attending church service and participating in group activities, I feel that my personal testimony came from individual prayer and scripture study. Though I'm just a youth, I know I have a responsibility to help my peers and friends through their struggles and try to guide them all to the truth of Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend church every sunday, spend time with my family on monday nights, and attend a youth activity group every week. Aside from my scheduled religion, I try to serve others and love them as Jesus would. I try to be a positive influence to every one around me and see that even though I'm just a youth I can help others come unto christ. I love to talk to others about beliefs, especially with my family. I hope to serve a mission after high school, following in the footsteps of my older brother who is serving right now!
