Hi I'm Lisa

I grew up in Los Gatos, California, USA. I am a Recreation Therapist and love helping people get the most out of life. I'm Mormon

About Me

My parents were teenagers when they had my brother and I. They ended up having 6 children by the time they were in their 30's. After I left for College, my parents adopted 3 more children. My Father passed away at 50 years of age and my Mother adopted 7 more children. All total 18 children. I would say they did an amazing job being such great parents and having a love for family. I am a Recreation Therapist and enjoy helping others find joy in life, whether they are Handicapable or not. I teach aerobics exercise to all age groups and love it! I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren that are the love of my life. My husband is my partner in life and the Eternities.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon when I was 14 years old. My parents told me I could investigate whatever Church I wanted as long as it "wasn't too weird". I went with friends to their Churches and enjoyed many parts of all of them. My friends who were Mormon invited me to their Church also and I enjoyed what I felt. Missionaries came to my home and taught my Mother, brother and I. Eventually my Father joined in the Lessons along with my younger brother and sister. I always felt, since I was a little girl, that God was a person I could talk to. So, when the missionaries taught me that God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost were three separate persons and we could talk to them, I knew it to be true. My family and I were baptized after praying about our decision and it has been the Best decision I ever made. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and he loves me and wants me to come and live with him again. I know he loves all of his children and wishes for all to return to Him. My husband and I have tried to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our everyday lives and be and example of the joy the Gospel brings to all who follow his Commandments. Our two sons served Missions and our Son in Law. I am so grateful for the Missionaries who gave up two years of their life to teach my family and myself. I has made all the difference! I feel the love of our Heavenly Father in my life and his Son, Jesus Christ showed us the way to live and find true happiness. I feel His peace in my Life daily.

How I live my faith

I love people and think everyone has a "story to tell". I enjoy working with the youth of our Church, the teenagers. They are fantastic and I feel so blessed to be able to get to know them and their interests and beliefs. The youth of today are living in a very challenging world and I have complete faith in them to make good choices. I love being there for them in helping them with the choices that come. I get to work in the community with the Senior Citizens and teenagers and what a great combination! They love each other. Service brings these two age groups together and they learn so much.
