Hi I'm Katie

I am 19 years old and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have a wonderful family and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Katie and I am 19 years old and I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was born into a wonderful family that I love very much. I currently just finished my first year of college at Weber State University and when I am older I want to be a children psychiatrist. I love laughing with friends and family, playing guitar, camping, fishing, swimming, and many other things. I am a certified EMT and I love helping people in as many ways as I can. About one year ago my brother returned home from a 2 year mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from Yekaterinburg, Russia. He is a wonderful person and he has done so many wonderful things. About four months ago I received my mission call to Virginia Richmond Spanish Speaking mission and I will be leaving in a couple of days to the Mexico Training Center to begin my 18 month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the way of life that I have chosen to live by has brought SO MUCH happiness into my life. My religion makes me happy because in the end this religion is all because and through love! We are all children of our Heavenly Father and his love for us is infinite and he just wants us to return to him and through living the gospel we can return to our heavenly Father; it is the only way. I am a Mormon because my religion makes me HAPPY and I am proud to be Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church meetings every Sunday and by showing my heavenly Father that I am trying to come closer to my Savior each day. I also read from the Book of Mormon and say my prayers daily. I try to be the best I can be by showing my love to my family and all the people I surround myself with. In a few days I am leaving to serve a mission for my church and I am so excited!!!I am simply serving a mission because all my life I have been raised in the gospel and it has brought so much joy to me personally and to my whole family and I want others to experience that same joy that comes through living the gospel. I hope that I can help the people in Virginia as much as I can by serving my brothers and sisters.
