Hi I'm Valorie Gubler

I'm from Orem, Utah. I love to dance. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 siblings that consist of mostly girls apart from my only brother. My brother and I are completely different but are best friends. In High School I was on the Ballroom team for 2 years. I have also done a variety of other dances for the last 7 yrs. I enjoy longboarding, camping, art and almost anything. After High School I went to Cosmetology School, and got a job. It was hard but I enjoyed moving out and having roommates. I also discovered a passion for different cultures while I was at it. I am now serving a mission in Oklahoma and trying to teach people about the restored Gospel in Spanish. My hopes are that they will accept God's message. And one day I hope to travel the world and raise a family with a man that will always love me.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons I am Mormon. Every week when I go to church and partake of the sacrament, I can feel the spirit which testifies to me that Christ really did suffering for our sins and make it possible for us to return to our Father in Heaven. I also know that it is through Jesus Christ that we can repent and be baptized and have the gate of Salvation opened up unto us. I believe we were sent to this earth to learn and progress and experience trials and tribulations so that our weaknesses may become our strengths. If we have faith in him and endure to the end we will receive the countless blessings he has in store for us. I know that I am not alone and that God is with me every step of the way. God has given us so many ways to fill his love and to find joy in this life. He has blessed us with prophets to guide us, and scriptures to edify us, and families to love and support us, and most of all he gave us his son, Jesus Christ to suffer the consequences for our sins so that we may find joy. I know that I have a father in heaven that loves me very much and that he is always there to listen to me and bless me when I need him. I know God hears and answers my prayers, and I know that this is God's church. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

When I was younger, my mother was given a calling in the church, where she would teach the gospel and organize activities for the members, to help strengthen their faith and bring them joy. She also, often times, went to visit people all over our neighborhood offering help and just being a friend. All while growing up I helped her with what ever she needed and I grew a great amount of love for all of God's children just as she had done. After a few years she was released from her calling, but she never stopped loving and helping everyone she came in contact with. As I grew older, I received callings in the church, of my own. I was called to lead people and plan activities and teach the gospel and it got hard, and sometimes frustrating. I noticed that it was hard to always care for and serve others. It was hard to have a good attitude about everything even when others didn't and it was disappointing when I kept making the same mistakes over and over again. At times I felt like I had done all I could do and I deserved to take a break. But then I thought of the Savior and how he never DESERVED to die, but he LET them kill him because he loved US. My mom didn't serve because it was her calling and she had to. She served because she truly loved all of those that she served. So even though what I was doing was hard. I kept to it, and continued to focus on my savior. Because If he thinks I can do these hard things, then I know I can. And because I didn't give up I was strengthened. And I was able to serve and love all of those around me and do it with a willing heart, because Christ loved me first.
