Hi I'm Elder Tyler Bowman

I was born and raised in Mesa. I love to play sports and run. I am a Missionary in the Canada Toronto Mission! IM A MORMON!

About Me

I love to play sports! I love being in the pool or at the beach! Anything athletic really. Sports has played a huge roll in my life and taught me many priceless lessons. I love coaching little kids in swim and high school track. I would rather be outside getting in trouble than in doors sitting around! I live my life so that there are no dull moments. I am the oldest of 5 awesome children. I was Born and Raised in Mesa, Arizona. One of my favorite places to go running is next to the Gilbert Az Temple! I am currently serving In the Canada Toronto Mission! It was the best desission of my life to serve a mission! I dont know where I would be without the Gospel and the relationship Ive developed with my savior Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

As I have come to truly understand my relationship with my Heavenly Father, I feel like this is the right path for me! I came to know this through my own personal study of the Book of Mormon and Bible and gospel principles as taught by Jesus Christ. As a missionary I invite others to come unto Christ. This is through simple invitations that I took my self and acted upon the impressions I recieved. The Gospel blesses my life so much. The knowledge of my divine identity as a Child of God and my potential in the life to come motivates me every day to continue. The Gospel anchors me when I am in trials and hardships. Most importantly I have been able to truly come to know my savior Jesus Christ and develop a personal relationship with my Father in Heaven. Both are things I value very much. Being a Mormon also helps give me an eternal persective on life and the essenctial role of the family! How amazing the knowledge that we are not alone, and that someday we can dwell with our Father in Heaven and our families for time and all eternity! THATS FOREVER! :D

How I live my faith

I currently am serving a mission in the Canada Toronto Mission! What better example is there :D I am involved with many clubs and volunteer programs at home. I live my faith by standing for my beliefs in all that I do. I love serving others including random strangers! It is a blessing to truly be a child of God and to have this knowledge! As the oldest of 5 children I am the example to them and the other people that we assosiate with. As an athlete I am often placed into positions in which I can teach others what I believe by my actions alone and Invite them to do the same! There is always a choice we have, either we will show our testimony or we will give into the temptation or peer pressure.

What is being a Mormon like?

Elder Tyler Bowman
Being a "Mormon" is like being a normal person. We all have trials and challenges. We live by certain standards that keep us physically healther, morally cleaner, and more spiritually intune. We choose to live by the commandments of God, not by force but out of love for God. As we become free from things that would hinder our eternal progression and bind us to addicting things in this life. At the end of the day we are like everyone else... Children of God. However, we have the extra knowledge and testimonies of who we truly are and what we can do to be the most happy! Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Elder Tyler Bowman
The Word of Wisdom is a health code of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, given to us through revelation by the Prophet Joseph Smith. This is not something new to God's Children, as we see multiple examples of a "Health Code" throughout the Bible. We dont drink Coffe, Tea, or Alcohol because all 3 of those substances are addictive and change our natural state. All 3 also effect our mentality and our ability to hear the still small voice of our Father in Heaven. Our bodies are a gift from God with the ability to do so many amazing feets... living the Word of Wisdom helps our body preform at it maximum potential day in and day out! Show more Show less
