Hi I'm Jake

I've lived in Utah my whole life, love to Snowboard, Wrestle, and am serving in the Fresno California Hmong mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up playing sports, but i stuck with wrestling and snowboarding. I like to pass the time by playing piano. I am currently serving a mission in California Fresno, speaking Hmong. I plan to arrange a book of Piano Hymns after my mission. I love just playing the piano and jamming. I also love anything athletic wither its boating, cliff jumping, rock climbing, repelling, wrestling, football, hiking, pretty much anything outdoors! I love the outdoors!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family with a lovely home. Lovely parents and values. I was taught young the stories of the scriptures and raised by gospel standards. However, i believe, born Mormon or not, everybody has to become converted. Even if you are born and raised in a Mormon culture that doesn't mean you just believe in it. You have to find out for yourself that it is true! You need to gain your own testimony and know for yourself that this is the true gospel! There are ups and downs, and everyone receives trials, but that is how we gain our faith. Little by little over time I have gained a testimony and know the truth of this gospel. I know Joseph smith restored the church, I know we have the fullness of the gospel and I know God loves me. I know this because I've felt it.

How I live my faith

I have recently got the opportunity to serve a mission. I am called to the California Fresno mission. I am very grateful for this opportunity to serve the lord and look for many ways to help make this the best experience it can possibly be! I'm learning about the Hmong people and it is an extremely humbling experience. They have been through so much suffering and have no country so it is in their culture to be humble. I can learn a lot from these people. I know for myself this is the true gospel and I strengthen that knowledge everyday as I receive feelings that testify of truth.
