Hi I'm Nicholas

I love playing the piano, reading, playing tennis, and eating spicy food. I love being a missionary in Mexico, I am a mormon.

About Me

I graduated from High School, in which I sung in choir, acted in drama, competed in debate, and prepared for my mission. I may not have much experience in my life, but i really have a strong desire to help people, for this reason i am serving a mission right now in Mexico, Tampico. I really have a arguementative spirit about me, especially about politics and other things like that, but I have learned that at times it is much better to love someone and agree with them to avoid a fight, even if i think i am always right! I want to be doctor in the future, so even when i am not a missionary I can keep on helping people have better lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but it was always my desire and belief to serve as dutifully and effectively as i could, no matter what my calling, whether as a Youth leader or an Organist for the choir. The Church is my life and my love, and I've left a lot behind to serve a mission for the Lord. Despite this, I do it willingly and with devotion.

How I live my faith

I'm called as a missionary to preach to gospel of Jesus Christ to the world, and I am currently learning how to do so.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Nicholas
God so loved us that he sent his son. We are all imperfect human beings. Even those of us who are non religious have felt at many times the bitter sting of our own self deficiency. We are weak, crude, judgemental, and overall unworthy of the kindness and love of God. Or at least thats what we think. No matter how far we may have fallen, God still loves us to the inate degree that he gave us his first and most righteous son, Jesus Christ, who took all of our shortcomings upon himself and died for those same sins. This gives us the chance to overcome our problems. To be the children of God he wants us to be. But we must accept and apply the Atonement in our lives. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Nicholas
No, not all of us are required to go. But it is highly recomended, for 3 reasons, (At least, i think so personally) 1. It is impossible to know how to live the gospel until one actually learns how to teach it by example. A mission is an EXTREMELY instructive experience, it teaches us not only the truth of Jesus Christ and his gospel, but how we can apply it in our lives and in the lives of others. 2. It strengthens our own testimoney. I never understood all the doctrines and principles of the rules and scriptures of the bible and the Book of Mormon until my mission. Additionally, serving 24/7 helps develop a lot of diligence and humility, which is invaluable to have in our lives in general. For this reason, i motivate my brother to serve a mission, right now he is 17 years old. 3. To spread the good news. When i eat something delicious, watch a wonderful movie, play a great game, read a great book, listen to a great song; it is all the same. I receive a strong and benevolent desire to share this positive experience with everyone i see and know. Being a mormon is that positive lifechanging experience. For that reason we have the desire to make other people's lives a little better by introducing them to what has made our lives better. Show more Show less
