Hi I'm Benjamin

I live in the beautiful Seattle area of Washington's Cascades. I'm a climber, backpacker, and performing pianist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love living in such a beautiful state. The Seattle area is an exciting place for backpacking and climbing, hobbies I have grown to love! I also love to play the piano. I write my own music and find such peace in it. I am planning to study mechanical engineering at BYU when I return from serving as a missionary in Kobe, Japan.

Why I am a Mormon

I have seen my inadequacies and weaknesses, my absolute dependence on the atonement. I have felt Christ's love for me. As I have integrated sincere repentance into my life, striving to become more like my savior, I have felt those weaknesses lifted from me. It is through diligent study, alone and with others, earnest prayer, sincere repentance, and the guidance of the spirit, that I have come to know for myself of the absolute truthfulness of this gospel. It is so powerful and personal to me. I want to see that happen for others. I love being a part of helping someone develop a testimony of, and relationship with, their personal Savior and loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am an instructor for the Tacoma LDS CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program. We instruct community members on how to prepare themselves, their families, and then their neighbors for emergencies, whether natural or man-made. I love people; I love my neighbors; I want to do my part in helping share my testimony and Christ's love through providing for some of the logistical needs of those around me. There is a power in unity.
