Hi I'm Brianna

I grew up in Utah. I am a student. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am just a small town girl who loves to read and be outside. Some of my favorite outdoor activities include swimming, camping, running, and hiking. I enjoy spending time with my family and having BBQ's with them. I am also a college student and I am studying Elementary Education. I love children but may be changing my major in the near future. I am currently preparing to serve in the Baltic mission in Estonia. I am thrilled and can not wait to get out there and help others come to know the truth.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been Mormon, but that is not the reason I continue to be Mormon. Growing up I relied on others testimonies around me. At one point I had to find my own. I remember one youth activity where we read the entire Book of Mormon in two days. We would gather in a room in the church building in the early morning hours, where all of the adult leaders would take turns reading from the Book of Mormon to us. Sometimes being so young it was hard to concentrate, but I remember after the last page they invited us to take Moroni's challenge to pray and find out for ourselves if it was true. No one had ever invited me to take that challenge. So I took it that night I went home I reread the challenge and I prayed. An overwhelming sensation came over me that confirmed what I had always known, that it was true. From that point on my testimony has continued to grow and grow. I know that this great and wonderful gospel that Heavenly Father has blessed us with is true with all of my heart. I know that Joseph Smith went into a grove of trees and prayed, where he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. I know that everything that happens to us happens for a reason. I know that Heavenly Father is watching over me and guiding my life everyday. I know that he loves me and wants me to succeed in making correct decisions. I know that as I continue on this journey that I will have more and more temptations and trials, but I know that if I stand firm and follow the commandments Heavenly Father will also bless me and guide me through. I know that we are literally children of our Heavenly Father and that Jesus Christ is our brother. I know that we have a living and true prophet who is Thomas S. Monson. I know that he receives revelation from God that will help guide us in this world that is so corrupt. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I have had many different callings in the past. Some of my favorites were ward librarian, nursery helper, and ward missionary. I am currently a ward missionary and a visiting teaching supervisor. I believe these callings both go hand in hand. With both of the callings I am reaching out to different people to see how they are and if they need help with anything. In my calling as a ward missionary I work closely with the ward mission leader, weekly we go out and visit those people in our ward that we have record of but do not know who they are or have never met them, to see if we can help them begin to attend our Young Single Adult ward or the activities that we have as ward. We also try to fellowship those who are new or just need a friend so that they feel welcome.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a boy who was confused about all the different religions in the world so he prayed to Heavenly Father to know which church is the true church. Heavenly Father than appeared to him he was only 14 and told him that none of them were the true church, which then began the restoration of the church. Joseph Smith was the prophet that restored the gospel to this Earth. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon the scripture we use today in our church. Show more Show less
