Hi I'm Des

I'm from the suburbs of Salt Lake City. I'm a Political Science student and Brigham Young University cheerleader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a competitive gymnast for ten years, and was even on a national team. I then began all-star and high school cheerleading my junior year of high school. I currently cheer for BYU and am studying Political Science. I hope to one day attend law school and work either in law, politics, or human rights.

Why I am a Mormon

I've found that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is truly the ONLY way to have pure and lasting happiness. I love that there are no endings and we are able to spend eternity with our loved ones. I know this church is the true church and that we can feel peace, love, and joy though it!

How I live my faith

I am an active church member and love that I get to see some of my best friends at church every week. After serving with the youth for a while, I now have moved into a new ward and am looking forward to the new callings I will receive. I also attend Brigham Young University, which allows me to live my faith in school as well! I love being able to incorporate the gospel with academics.

What is being a Mormon like?

Des
To me, being a Mormon is continuous peace and everlasting joy! I have comfort knowing that I can spend eternity with my family and Heavenly Father. Through scripture study, prayer, church attendance, and temple ordinances, I am able to come closer to my Heavenly Father and constantly feel his love and guidance. Being a Mormon is being able to be happy. Show more Show less
