Hi I'm McEgan Nelson

Born and raised in Utah. An adventurer in the beautiful mountains. Love to play sports and read! Proud Mormon looking to serve!

About Me

I am very outgoing! I serve in Brazil and had my mission postponed due to an injury in my foot! Some of my favorite hobbies are Soccer, Rock Climbing, Reading, Psychology, and anything that gives me a fun adrenaline rush! Gained my testimony at trek the first time and went again just last summer! Plan to be a firefighter when I return from my mission and study to become a psychologist. I won´t say much more about me because i´d prefer you ask me yourself!!

Why I am a Mormon

Grew up in the faith and had the opportunity to go on Trek when I was fourteen. Trek was a wonderful experience for me where I reenacted the story of the pioneers and more specifically the martin and willy handcart companies who's stories are filled with amazing miracles. During my first trek we had a testimony meeting where I was one of the last to go up and bear my testimony. I walked away that night with a sure knowledge of the gospel and decided that I would never again doubt my faith. Since then I've had multiple testimony building experiences, including most recently, another chance to go on trek. This time I had the opportunity to walk as a rescuer which gave me added responsibilities as a leader to serve as much as possible. This included carrying people across the river at one of the sacred river crossings and bearing my testimony of it shortly thereafter. I look forward to learning and serving more as I grow more individually and as a child of God.

How I live my faith

I am in Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, Serving a full-time mission. I live my faith trying to be the best I can to help and love others as the Savior would.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Faith is like a little seed, however, I believe that it needs to be exercised like a muscle in order for it to grow. The best way to exercise faith in Christ is through service and learning to be more Christlike in all that you do. Show more Show less
