Why I am a Mormon

I was a catholic before and I was baptized last year 2013 , My parents are the ones who are converted first , two years later. I chose to baptize in the true Church of Christ because I have testified by the spirit that this is the true gospel and the true church. I've learned a lot of things most especially about the atonement of Christ it brings me a lot of hope, The teachings of the missionaries and the sunday school teachers are well great! I learn everyday

How I live my faith

My church callings are youth secretary and ward missionary, I also teach the young women sunday class. As an active young single adult I help my co ysa's to organnize our church activities and events. I love working with members because I know it helps me to become more communicable and approachable to other people .

What is faith?

Janine
faith is something that we believe even without seeing it. To have faith is to “hope for things which are not seen, which are true” (see Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21 and Hebrews 11:1). Each day you act upon things you hope for, even before you see the end result. This is similar to faith. Faith in God is more than a theoretical belief in Him. To have faith in God is to trust Him, to have confidence in Him, and to be willing to act on your belief in Him. It is a principle of action and power. The Book of Mormon prophet Alma compared faith to a seed. If you plant a seed and nourish it, if it is a good seed it will grow and eventually bear fruit (Alma 32:28-43). It is the same with faith. If you are obedient to God’s commandments, study His word, and have a desire to believe in Christ, faith will grow inside of you. Show more Show less
