Hi I'm Carlee Voorhees

I'm a college student. I'm a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been attending college since January of 2012 and still deciding on a major. I feel like there are so many different roads in school I can take and I need to just decide and have faith because I know that God will not fail me if I continue to keep his commandments. I am happy to be a wife, not because of the title, but because I get to share the responsibility of taking care of the man I love forever. He brings happiness in my life and in our little home.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the LDS church is the best decision I could ever make in my life. I know that it brings everlasting joy! I love the feeling that I am not alone and that when I wake up in the morning I can invite his spirit to help guide me in my day. I also love going home after work at the end of the day because I know that the spirit of righteousness dwells there because my husband and I invite it in by doing the simple things. Such as: watching clean movies that don't mock what we hold sacred, by keeping it clean and have that welcoming feeling, and by laughing and doing the things that God would want us to do. Being a mormon is why I am here on earth. Without it I would be lost and confused why I am here and what I should do each day. I am happy to learn the ways of our maker and our Heavenly Father. He is that lightness in our lives that takes away the darkness. He loves us and if you pray for that knowledge he will show you.

How I live my faith

I believe that if I try a LITTLE harder each day to improve it comes with BIG results. There is so much each day that I can improve on. How I pray, how I study the scriptures, and how I help people around me. Also, the little things are just as important. If I hear a song with lyrics that I know aren't clean I can choose to turn it off; and if I do that is a simple way by improving and bringing a little more happiness into my life and into my home.
