Hi I'm Seth

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I'm going on a mission to the Philippines for two years. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I've learned to play four instruments over the years, including the guitar. Me and a bunch of my friends started a band, and we called it "The Other Direction". We actually preformed a couple times too! I graduated from high school and from seminary. I had a job working at a restaurant for two years, making pizza! I'm preparing for a two year mission to the Philippines!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been told my entire life that it was true, so most of my life I just went with it and said okay. I didn't have a big testimony for a while about the church, but just said yes to everyone who told me it was true. At least, I did for a while. While I was going to seminary I learned a lot about the church. I learned about the teachings of the new and old prophets and I learned the stories in the scripture more in depth than I had previously known. During this time in the seminary my testimony grew, and I then knew that the church was true. I knew for myself that it was true and after that I started sharing with others that it was true. I liked the church more and enjoyed going to church more. I read through the book of Mormon. In the end of the book of Mormon, the prophet Moroni said to read the scriptures and then pray and the lord would tell you if they are true by the power of the holy ghost. I did as Moroni directed and I prayed and asked if the scriptures are true and if the church was true. I was then filled with the spirit. I felt a special happiness and heat from my heart and a small voice in my head told me that it was true. The spirit of God told me that this is true.

How I live my faith

I've been going to church my whole life! I've been a home teacher, where I went to people's houses and taught them short lessons about the church and about talks from the apostles and the prophet. I've done many service projects like shoveling snow from peoples sidewalks, and clearing out huge pieces of wood, metal, and other big pieces of garbage from fields. I read the scriptures often and love sharing them with my friends who don't know about them. I love the church and try my hardest to live all of it's teachings.
