Hi I'm Leia

I grew up in South Carolina. I love to smile and be happy. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love to sing and listen to uplifting music. I also love to smile and laugh. I am very outgoing and love to talk and meet new people. While I am on a mission I will work my hardest to serve the Lord then after I return home I plan to finish school and become a physical therapist assistant and possibly minor in Spanish. I also plan to be married and sealed to the love of my life for all eternity in the Temple

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life and looked up to my parents, grandparents and teachers. I learned so many things from them but through time my testimony of the Gospel has grown so much. I love this church and I know that it is true. With all my heart, I know that my Savior Jesus Christ lives and that he suffered so much pain, physically and emotionally and ultimately atoned and died for my sins. I know that he has felt all my sorrows and pains. He is the only one who knows me and all my needs. He also knows exactly how to comfort me because what I go through, he went through as well. I know that we have a living prophet on the Earth today. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and he did restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Earth. I have a testimony of prayer and scripture study. I know that we can all become closer to our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ if we pray and read the scriptures every day and sincerely talk to Heavenly Father and sincerely search the holy scriptures. Seek out the best answers from the best books. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are both the word of God. I know also that through the ordinances in the temple that families can be together for all eternity. I see this as such a blessing in my life because I love my family and I also am looking forward to being sealed to my future husband in the temple and start my own eternal family. I love this Gospel and I know with all my heart that it is the only true church on this Earth.

How I live my faith

I was a substitute primary teacher for our ward, before my mission. I taught any age children that I was asked to teach when a teacher is absent. I loved teaching those children, they are so precious to me and I know they are so precious to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. As a missionary, my purpose and how I live my faith is by working hard to bring those who are seeking to find the truth or who are lost and something is missing in their lives and they need to find the peace the Gospel brings to them and their families.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Leia
As Mormons we believe that families are the center of God's eternal plan of happiness for us. He organizes us into families so that we can learn and grow in the gospel and in other areas of our lives. Children who have loving and caring parents who teach them how to act and what is important in their lives and also teach them the gospel of Jesus Christ, are happier and grow to understand life as they progress. We believe that each person in the family has a certain responsibility. The father protects and presides over the family, the mother nurtures and cares for her children and they both work together to teach them right from wrong and life lessons. The children's responsibility is to obey and listen to their parents. Family is so important to God's plan because within the family is a love that is unbreakable. Families are forever.
