Hi I'm Courtney

I grew up in Utah. I am a registered nurse. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a recent college graduate. I just got my nursing degree and have a desire to help others and share the love of our Savior through nursing. I am an expectant mother and am extremely excited to start an eternal family with my sweet husband. We recently just moved clear across the country for education and are learning to rely on our ward family in a way that we never have before. I love finding new and random places to eat and discovering new things to do in our new home. I love to read, play tennis, cook, play games, and just be outside. Most importantly though I love to do anything and everything with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know who I am, why I came to earth, and where I am going. I know that there is an eternal plan of happiness that was set forth with our Savior, Jesus Christ, as the center of that plan. I know most importantly that we have a Savior who is Jesus Christ, and that because of His love, He suffered and died for me. I know that the gift of repentance is real and it is the way we can truly know our Savior and become more like Him. I am a Mormon because I want to be happy, and I know for certain the Gospel is the way to complete and true happiness. I grew up being a member of the Church, and slowly built my testimony throughout my childhood. It continues to grow everyday line upon line and precept upon precept. I know that the Book of Mormon a testament of Jesus Christ and it, along with the Bible, testify of Him. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that he did see God the Father and His Son on that spring morning in 1820, and that through the Prophet Joseph, the gospel was restored to the earth in its fulness. I know we have living prophets that lead and guide us today and receive revelation from our Heavenly Father for us. I know that through the blessings of the temple and covenants we make, we can be with our families forever and can return to live with our Father in Heaven. I love the Gospel, I love what it teaches me, and love the peace and joy it brings.

How I live my faith

In my ward I have the opportunity of teaching the 4 and 5 year old children. We get to meet with teachers and children ages 3-11 to sing and learn about the Gospel and about our Savior in ways that children find fun and exciting. I then get to take my own class of about 6 kids and teach just them about the Gospel. We learn, color, play games, and even have treats! I am also a Visiting Teacher. I love being able to visit specific sisters in their homes during the week and develop friendships. It gives me the chance to really be a support and friend to the sisters and be someone that they can turn to for anything.
