Hi I'm Laura Hendrix

I am a biochemistry major. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love dancing, kayaking, fencing, and playing video games. I finished my sophomore year of college and am now serving a full time mission. I have nine siblings. Three are newly adopted that and were just sealed to my the rest of my family for time and all eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and was taught the gospel all my life. I grew to know for a surety that it is true. I struggle with anxiety and since this may cause serving a mission to be more difficult, I have worked together with the Lord to cope more effectively with it. He has witnessed to me countless times as I have prepared that He is guiding me and helping me with my trials. Through Christ, I have the strength to withstand trials and achieve more than I ever could on my own.

How I live my faith

I have left my family for eighteen months to talk to people about the gospel. I am a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My role as a missionary is to invite people to come unto Christ and teach them about the restored gospel so that they may learn for themselves and exercise their agency to learn for themselves that this is the true church. Preparing for a mission has been one of the most spiritual experiences I have ever had. Studying the Book of Mormon with the intent to teach it has helped me retain the principles taught therein more effectively.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Laura Hendrix
Family is important because they are primarily the people that we will spend eternity with if we are faithful to our covenants. We may be sealed to them for time and for all eternity. Show more Show less
