Hi I'm Josh

I'm a wrestler, actor, improv comedian, I loved smoked bbq, and I'm an Mormon

About Me

I am currently serving a full-time mission in the Pennsylvania, Philidelphia Mission. I enjoy wrestling and acting. My passion is comedy. I love to make people laugh and I was training to become an improvisational comedian before my mission. I also love smoked bbq and I love staying up all night long to make it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon. So I have always been one. But that doesn't mean I just blindly follow what my family does. I found out for myself that the gospel is true. I see people who go through their life not believing in anything, saying that God is dead and all that stuff. God is not dead! He lives and so does his literal son Jesus Christ. A saying I live my life by is "I'd rather go through my whole life putting my faith in something, then finding out there is nothing, then having faith in nothing, and finding out there is something." This gospel makes sense. All I have to do is put my faith in Heavenly Father and his son Jesus the Christ and the rest will follow.

How I live my faith

As a full time missionary my purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End. I teach about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to all who will listen, and will continue to do this all day every day for 14 hours a day, from 2014-2016.

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision was a heavenly manifestation in which Joseph Smith, the Prophet of this dispensation, saw Heavenly Father (God) and his Son Jesus Christ. The vision was a result of a prayer that Joseph Smith offered at the young age of 14 years old, in which he asked of which of the religious sect was correct or were they all wrong together. It was answered in the form of the First Vision, where he was told that none of the sects were true, but that the fullness of the gospel was about to be established on earth once more. Just like with Prophets of old, Joseph Smith received revelation and instruction directly from the Father and the Son and with that instruction came the beginning of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as established in Christ time. What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a witness. A witness of things you know or believe to be true. A testimony is gained in a variety of ways and each is unique in the spirit it brings and the way it is borne. An example would be that you know that Christ lives, that Heavenly Father lives, Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Christ church was established to always have twelve apostles. When Judas died Peter called Matthias to be the next apostle. So it was an ongoing calling that would be given to another person after the death of a previous apostle. But with the persecution back in the time of the twelve apostles, they were all either killed or banished before God could call new apostles to fill their positions. Their deaths and absences led into a period known as the Great Apostasy. Show more Show less

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

After the death of the living Prophet, the Counselors in the First Presidency (now disbanded) and the Quorum of the twelve apostles meet to sustain and set apart the new Prophet. The President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles becomes the Prophet of the Lord. The President of the Quorum of the Twelve apostles is the Apostle who has been serving in the calling as an Apostle the longest period of time out of the other 13. Show more Show less
