Hi I'm Trey Justice

I was born and raised in North Carolina. I have a teaching degree, but became a furniture store owner. Weird right? I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have always been a sports guy! If it dealt with sports, then I wanted to be a part of it. Sports still have a great effect on me today. My team recently won our area flag football season championship, I play on a few adult league softball teams, and my wife was an All-American volleyball player in college! Gotta love sports! I run a furniture store, but my college degree is in Secondary Education/ History. All throughout college, I believed I would be a high school social studies teacher. Who would have guessed that my other background is where I would end up? Always love what you do! The biggest influence in my life now, though, is my family. I have been married for 5 years, and I have a 2 year old, and an 8 month old, Clark and Porter. The first thing that my wife and I found out we had in common was our love for the show, Smallville, a show about Superman! We both loved the name Clark, and so we named our first little boy after Superman! What a nerd, right? We even had a Superman/Lois Lane cake topper! HAHA. Our second son, Porter, is named after best friend and protector to Joseph Smith, Porter Rockwell. He may be the coolest guy to have ever lived! We wanted to have strong names, with real meaning to us, that could also stand as role models to our boys! Never have I known a love for another person, as the love I share for my family! My testimony of the gospel is strong! A personal relationships with God is the most important thing to have!

Why I am a Mormon

Being an avid athlete and sports fan, growing up I naturally was attracted to groups of friends who did the same thing. My best friends growing up were athletes as well, one of which was a Mormon! I had regularly attended my Baptist church for sometime, but would go to church with my Mormon buddy on Sundays if I spent the night at his house on Saturday. Throughout my time as a Baptist, I felt as though something was missing in the religious aspects of my life. Later on in my teenage years, my friend's sister, who I had known for nearly 15 years came home from school for the weekend. We hit it off, and thinking about it now, how could we not have noticed each other in all that time? So we began dating, and discussing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in significant detail. I eventually took the discussions from the missionaries, and studied it out in my mind and heart. After much prayer, and opposition from my family, I decided to be baptized. Guess who baptized me?! You got it! My best friend! It was the happiest moment in my life up to that point! Now, I have been sealed in the temple, married for 5 years, have 2 little boys, am ward mission leader at the Lenoir ward in Lenoir, NC, and have baptized 6 people myself! This gospel is the greatest happening on Earth! To be a member of the Lord's true church is a wonderful feeling and blessing unto me and my family! The gospel has changed my life in ways that I could have never foreseen. It has led me to an eternal marriage, an eternal family, and to eternal life. I am so thankful for the Book of Mormon, and for it's clarity and principles! It is the most correct book ever written, and is the most influential part of my life. To be a Mormon was never a goal of mine when I was younger, but once I discovered the truth and validity of the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith as a prophet, and Thomas S. Monson as our living prophet today, being a Mormon will be a daily goal that I set for myself and my family!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in every aspect of my life. Whether it be at home, at church, at work, or at play, the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is at the forefront. I am the ward mission leader, and it has been a real pleasure getting to work with so many wonderful missionaries that are willing to sacrifice 2 years of their life to help bring others unto Christ. I have been in the Young Men's Presidency at 2 different branches, headed up many men's activities, and have even taught some primary! I am always on the lookout for missionary opportunities, and invite many of my non-member family and friends to Church and activities that are held in our community. To live your faith is more than just words, it's actions! Do good unto others, and watch as the blessings from Heaven reign down upon you and yours! I love my Father in Heaven and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray for the continuing guidance from the Holy Spirit, and know that if I keep my end of my sacred covenants, then I never need worry about them keeping theirs! Being a positive influence to my family has softened their views towards the Church, and I know that they can see the real change that the gospel has had in my life. I was never into negative activities, but now the Gospel has added so much more to my life!
