Hi I'm Brooke

I was born and raised in sunny San Diego. I'm a graphic design major. I'm an athlete. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 19 year old girl who loves life and is excited for new adventures to come. I grew up in San Diego in a loving family. I'm the middle child with and older brother and sister, and two younger sisters, and two amazing parents. I went to BYU Hawaii and played on the women's softball team there. I am currently serving as a missionary and representing my Savior for 18 months in Neuquen, Argentina!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. This is His true church. I know with all my heart that this is the true church on earth, simply because I have found out for myself. We all go through hard times in life, but it all comes back to one thing; that our Father in Heaven loves us. He loves us so much, that He sent His son down to earth to suffer and atone for each one of us. Through Christ's atonement we can be forgiven of our sins and be made whole again. This gospel brings peace and joy to any who come unto it. It can bless lives and save them. I know I am a daughter of a king and I know my purpose. I thank my Heavenly Father each day for the blessing of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try my very best to live my faith by my example to others. I have a calling in my ward as the Beehive advisor, the leader for girls ages 12-13. I adore them and have seen them grow so much. I love teaching them each week and seeing their sweet faces light up. Most of the time, they have taught me how to be a better disciple of Christ through their example, rather than mine. I also live my faith by sharing the gospel with others. I will have the opportunity to dedicate 18 months of my life to my Savior as I go out and serve others and invite them unto Christ as a missionary. There is no greater joy than to share this message of peace with others.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Mormons believe that families are central to God's plan. His gospel blesses and strengthens families. God's purpose for his children is to have joy, so he sent his children to Earth to live with a family. We believe that families can be together forever. Our family relationships do not end at death, but they last for eternity. Family members who accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ and follow Him can be together forever though sacred ordinances performed in God's holy temples. Show more Show less
