Hi I'm Caden Andersen

I am from Logan, Utah. I am currently serving a mission in the Wisconsin, Milwaukee Spanish speaking Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have played all kinds of sports my whole life. I have graduated from high school and plan on attending college. I will be serving an LDS mission in Milwaukee, Wisconsin starting on November 19, 2014. I have received my Eagle Scout award and plan on being an orthopedic surgeon for a career.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 12 years old, I did not have my own testimony of this church. I was a part of it because of what my parents had taught me. I went to a temple dedication and at the very end we sang, "The Spirit of God." I could feel the spirit so strongly while we sang this. At this moment I knew that this church is true. Since then I have received countless numbers of spiritual feelings and peace in the teachings of this church. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God and through the power of God he was able to translate the Golden Plates into the Book of Mormon. I also know that we have a living prophet on the Earth today named Thomas S. Monson who receives guidance from God. This is Christ's true church restored on the Earth today. I promise that if you read the Book of Mormon and will ask with a sincere heart and a sincere prayer if these things are true, then by the power of the Holy Spirit these things will be made known unto you. Amen!

How I live my faith

How I am able to live my faith is by serving others. Being on a mission right now makes me think less about myself and how I can help others which is what our savior Jesus Christ did by putting others before himself. I strive to live as close to Jesus Christ's teachings as I possibly can. I love this church and want to bring all the joy it has brought me in my life to others so that they may partake of the fruits of this gospel.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Caden Andersen
In order to receive eternal life, we have to have all ordinances done on our behalf. Baptism is one of these ordinances that must be completed. Some people have died though before being able to have this ordinance done. In the temple we can be baptized in behalf of these people so that they have the chance to accept it or deny it in the next life. This shows how loving and merciful God is. Show more Show less
