Hi I'm Garrett

I grew up in the South. I love music, and have been called to serve in the Washington Spokane Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the son of a military veteran, like traveling to new places, and meeting new people. I'm an avid drummer and was drum captain of my high school band. I also enjoy singing in my local church choir. I have a passion for Latin and studied the unspoken language for four years in high school. Vita est bona! I have an amazing family and a sister with special needs who is an angel in our home. After serving my church mission, I'll be attending BYU. Go Cougars!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this church and know it is the true Church of Jesus Christ. Living the gospel makes me happy and a better person. The knowledge that I am a child of God, that I lived with him before coming to this earth, and that it is His plan for me to return to live with Him again someday, help me to make better choices and cherish each day. I also know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, when I make mistakes I can be forgiven, and have felt that cleansing in my own life. The doctrine of eternal families gives me great comfort to know that I can be with my family forever through the ordinances in the Holy Temple.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow Jesus Christ's teachings and example a little better each day. Spending time reading my scriptures, prayer, and serving other people have helped me to come to know my Heavenly Father and Savior, and feel Their love. Exercising my faith in Jesus Christ and His plan of happiness has also helped me to better accept, understand, and learn from the challenges in my life.
