Hi I'm Kam

I grew up in Idaho. I wish to become a third-generation pharmacist. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was raised in the same city my whole life. My father owned and ran a pharmacy that was ran once by his Dad. I'm currently going to school to become a pharmacist and keep the drug business in the family. When younger I was a wrestler and traveled the country with my team. Now I am an outdoor enthusiast and go rock climbing when I can. During quiet days I love reading Hemmingway and Fitzgerald.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it's teachings are true. I grew up Mormon but it wasn't until I moved out from home that I had a chance to decide really what I was and what I was going to do with my life. I decided that what I wanted was peace and joy in its most honest and lasting forms, and that how I had tried to find that before in high school through partying and "fun" was not working. It became apparent that I needed to search in other areas of life, such as religion. It was then in college that I began going to church and abiding by the teachings my parents had once told me to follow. After this, things seem to progress and help came in ways I cannot explain. Problems and issues in high school, things I never thought I'd get over, were resolved. It felt as if God were reaching out, helping me in my life for the first time, because I had finally put a little sincere effort in. It worked. More than that, I cannot deny the feelings I felt and experiences I've had that testify that I have a loving heavenly father. I know God lives, and because of that, I'm a Mormon. I have had truth given to me and I show integrity to it, and hold it sacred. The size or degree of our knowledge doesn't matter, but our integrity towards that knowledge.

How I live my faith

In my church I serve as a primary teacher, meaning I teach 4-5 years olds about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have five children I teach, and they are the best thing about my Sunday. Sometimes you think not a lot is sticking because they're so young, but man do children understand Christ and his teachings. They are so innocent that I learn from them how to be a better person.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Kam
In my mind here is the reason for why we have the Law of Chastity. The family is the central and sacred unit which God operates through to strengthen us as individuals. We are born into a family and raised by a family. God wishes us to have strong families; one where love abounds and where children can be raised in safety. Because of this, we are given the law of chastity, which requires a man and a woman to be lawfully wedded and have complete fidelity to each other in marriage. With this law come the stability that is essential for a successful home. Children deserve to have a Mother and a Father who love each other completely, and by controlling our desires through God's law, we are given something much greater than we could ever have alone.
