Hi I'm Drue

I'm a missionary. I'm a daughter. I'm a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the third of four children and I have had a year of college at a university in Utah. I love being outdoors, especially hiking. I love going on walks with my dog and playing board games with my friends, as well as laughing with my family around the dinner table. I'm majoring in English with a minor in folklore--I LOVE collecting stories! My dream job would be to work along with the LDS Family History Department to collect and preserve stories from around the world. I have been called to serve as a missionary to South Carolina and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the pure bliss it brings is unlike anything I have experienced anywhere else. This life is tough and the world is confusing--this gospel gives me direction that I know is from God. There is satisfaction that comes from living life in line with God's will for you. I know that He has my best interest at heart because He literally knows me better than I know myself--He knew me before this life. That's a life that I don't remember. It's a part of me I have forgotten and each day I work to become the person I once was, but better. I am here to learn and gain experience. I am here to grow! This gospel helps me understand my divinity--that I came to this earth from living with Heavenly Father so I could gain understanding and experience, and I can someday return to Him and live with my family for all eternity. Forever. My family means everything to me--I don't want to lose that at death. I know we can be together for time and all eternity, and I know that that is only possible because of my Savior Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I love my Heavenly Father and I know that He loves me. I am grateful for this gospel and the guidance it gives me. It brings me joy!

How I live my faith

I have been involved with many youth group presidencies and activity councils. I love serving within the church--it's fun to be involved but I love the unity you feel with the people you work with. It's amazing to see the Lord's hands in the things you do! Service activities are always fun because it's so satisfying to know that you have made someone's day a little better, even if they don't know it was you. I am currently serving as a missionary. Each day my companion and I leave our apartment to meet new people and help bring them closer to Christ. We share how this gospel has blessed our lives and how it can bless theirs as well. It's the hardest but best work in the world!
