Hi I'm McKaila

I am currently living in Honolulu, Hawaii. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent most of my life living in Las Vegas, but moved to Honolulu with my family a couple of years ago. Several months after we moved I got my first job working at Jamba Juice. I also earned my GED since I was homeschooled throughout high school. I really enjoy acting, hiking, cliff jumping, going to the beach, reading, and relaxing/cooking meals with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this church is true, and that it's the only church where we can feel the fullness of God's love and the full truth about where we came from, why we're here, and where we are able to go. I know this because I have felt it countless times in my life, especially when I pray. As a Mormon I don't have all the answers to life, but I do know, without any doubt, that God loves me and is completely aware of me. I know that He will guide me through this difficult, and sometimes brutally challenging life. I know that I can live with Him again someday, that I can find peace and rest, and that I can experience more joy than I can even comprehend. I don't think I could feel that so fully in any other church.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings each Sunday, and I serve as an assistant secretary among the women in our church. I am mainly responsible for keeping the bulletin board updated with news and events from our leaders. I'll post things such as seasonal activities, service projects, building cleaning times, etc. I'll also post pictures of the missionaries from other families in our church who are in serving in various areas of the world, and I'll post the monthly newsletter for the women . It's been pretty enjoyable. At home I try to keep up with the standards we learn to live at church. I pray often, both by myself and with my family . One of the ways I keep a good feeling in our home is by listening to inspirational music, particularly during mealtimes. I also make an effort to read my scriptures regularly, and just overall to be Christlike everywhere I go and in everything I do.
