Hi I'm Rainui

I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Tahiti. I love my wife, my children, my job, powerlifting and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending my time with my wife and two children. Living in Tahiti, we often go hiking and picnic at the beach. I also started powerlifting this year and I do love it. I work in the IT department and helping my colleagues be more productive by using technology on a daily basis is one of my favorite part of my job.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are divorced and growing in this situation was not easy. My grand-mother was a very active catholic and taught me the importance of reading the scriptures and going to church. It was not difficult at all for me to join the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter Day Saints, since its teaching brought some lights on many of the questions I had then. I was baptized in 1995, served a full-time mission in 1996 and I got married in the Tahiti temple. I have been serving the Lord since my conversion and I continue to share the gospel to my relatives, friends and whoever is willing to follow my Friend and Savior, Jesus-Christ.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the stake presidency. I work with the youth and our main focus this year is to help them get more involved in Family History and temple ordinances. We hold a monthly stake meeting, also called Fireside, to help our non-member friends know more about the church. Our stake has 3 church building and once a month, our presidency goes to each one of them for sacrament meeting and then during Sunday school meeting, we meet with the non-members or less-active members to teach the gospel and respond to any of the questions.
