Hi I'm Beverly

"I am the mother of ten children, eight daughters and two sons! I've been married for 36 years. We have 15 grandchildren."

About Me

I grew up in Southern California as the oldest of seven siblings. After high school I went to Dixie College in Saint George, Utah where I met my husband. After a few moves we ended up in beautiful Cache Valley Utah and have been here for 28 years. I have been busy raising our ten children and currently have two teens at home. My personal interests are reading, creating and publishing memory/family history books (50+) and anything the kids were doing! As a family we have done a lot of camping, hiking and other outdoor activities. The last few years I have worked part time as a classroom reading aide and a CNA.

Why I am a Mormon

We have come to know that there is spiritual safety and personal peace as we strive to live by Christian values. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has an organization for every age group. Wherever the Church is it is the same! When our children leave home there is a congregation (over 29,000 congregations worldwide) wherever they go to welcome them and shepherd them through the next phase of their life...no one is lost or finds themselves outside of the loving arms of the Church leadership! How comforting is that thought! The worldwide outreach we have to spread the gospel is unmatched. Our manuals, magazines and the scriptures are printed in over 189 languages! We have over 85,000 missionaries in over 400 missions around the globe. Our humanitarian response to global disasters with tents, hygiene kits, and thousands of volunteer manpower hours is world renown. We have on-going programs such as feeding the hungry using farms, ranches, orchards and food canning facilities in various locations, bringing clean water to thousands, neonatal resuscitation instruction to medical clinics and free wheelchair distribution. These are just a few reasons why I am so proud of this Church. I believe Jesus Christ restored his gospel through Joseph Smith, the first prophet of the restoration. It is the SAME organization that Christ himself organized when he was here upon the earth. We have Apostles...we have a Prophet to speak for God and Jesus Christ about how to run the affairs of Their Kingdom here upon the earth! How comforting and amazing is that? To be lead and guided in this world of trouble and wickedness by a Prophet of God! The Holy Spirit has impressed upon my heart again and again that this is the one and only true Church of Jesus Christ. All are invited to come and see for themselves and to know for themselves if it is true.

How I live my faith

Early on in our marriage we decided that going to church on Sundays as a family was a high priority. We wanted our children to feel comfortable going to church as children, so they would feel like it was a part of their life and would want to continue to do so as adults. I've had many different opportunities to serve in the Church. From being in the nursery to Sunday school teacher, Cub Scout leader, leader in our young women's program, teacher in our amazing women's organization and even choir director! At home we have made it a priority to hold a Family Home Evening (fhe) every Monday night. This is a night reserved for the family to get together to take turns presenting a gospel centered lesson, or plant the garden, or plan an upcoming family trip etc. Another priority has been to have daily family prayer and a short scripture study. Have we done all this perfectly? NO! Have there been misses and failures along the way? YES! Did I wonder at times, through lots of little kids fighting and "she's touching me!" moments and less than enthusiastic teens, if it was all worth it? YES! So, is it all worth it? A MILLION TIMES YES!! When I see my married children following in our footsteps and raising their children in a Christian home and trying to instill Eternal values and principles into the hearts of my grandchildren, any heartache I had over the years fads away. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ!
