Hi I'm Steven

I proudly live in the United States. I'm a nerd. I love reptiles. I live to serve. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Call me Unorthodox, but I am infatuated with reptiles; particularly snakes. I have a small collection of exotic animals, each with their own specified terrarium and name. I am also fascinated with technology, art, and the realm of fantasy. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is a favorite, of course. One of my life goals is to be able to attend vet school- It has always been my dream to practice medicine and being able to help animals when others cannot. I also enjoy studying foreign cultures, although I am not so keen on frequent traveling. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and I am currently working on the German and Latin languages.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many, I was born into this church to goodly parents. They raised me in righteousness to obey the Lord's commandments with diligence. Developing an educational knowledge of the gospel was no challenge to me. However, I was rather stubborn as a child. I accepted the printed word of the gospel in my head, but refused to accept the truth of it in my heart for a very long time. A vicious internal struggle restrained me from embracing the full joy and knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel for many years. Nearing the end of this period, the Lord presented me with many wonderful manifestations of the truth through the Holy Ghost. He also presented me with a menagerie of trials which broke me and forced me to seek His hand for aid. In all honesty, I still do not know the gospel nor it's truth as much as I would like to- but I have come far in developing my testimony, and I intend to continue expounding upon it for eternity. I have a testimony of this gospel- I know Jesus Christ atoned for our sins and through this atonement we can be cleansed of our sins and return to live with our Father in Heaven. I believe in the teachings of the Prophets and the scriptures. I know Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us. I believe that this gospel is true, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward by striving to provide service to my ward members and to fulfill my calling as a home teacher. It is my duty to serve my fellow man inside and outside of our faith in any way I can.
