Hi I'm Al

I’m a student. I love college football, reading books, and playing sports. I’m proud to be a Dixie. I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I’m from North Carolina. I’m a proud American and I love my country. I’m fluent in Japanese since I lived in Japan for ten years. I love reading books and gaining knowledge about many things. I enjoy listening to music, playing sports (tennis, soccer and running are my favorites), studying. I’m really enthusiastic about many things and I strive forward to attain my goals. I’m studying law and political science at university and I hope to engage in politics or criminal law in the future. I love being a Mormon, and my favorite verse from the Book of Mormon is Ether 12:9, which says; “Wherefore, ye may also have hope, and be partakers of the gift if ye will but have faith”.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because my Mormon friend in elementary school showed compassion to me and influenced me to do so as well. I was baptized when I was 16 years old, and since then, I've always been blessed in my life. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and I know that He loves us and sacrificed His life to prepare the way for me, and everyone else, to go back to our Heavenly Father and live with Him one day. I know that the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ restored the fullness of the Gospel through the prophet Joseph Smith, and I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of the Savior Jesus Christ and contains the word of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example for my family and friends, by following the examples that Jesus Christ showed us in his Earthly Ministry. I strive to show charity and compassion, as Jesus Christ told us to “Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you”(Matthew 5:42). I testify that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true; that we will receive forgiveness of our transgressions, and will be saved by the power of his atonement; that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel through a divine revelation; that the Book of Mormon and the Bible contains the word of God. I also testify that by following the Savior, we can find peace and comfort in this earthly existence.
