Hi I'm Luana Moulton

I grew up in Kentucky in a loving family where I learned Christian principles--especially love and acceptance for others.

About Me

I graduated from Brigham Young University with an English teaching degree. However, I never put my degree to use in a classroom. I was fortunate to be able to stay at home and raise 4 wonderful children! I love to sing, read, run, camp, cook, and socialize. I love people and enjoy making others see the best in themselves. My boys' friends nicknamed me "Mama Lu" years ago and I must say that I love interacting with young people and I love being the Mama! I love my Savior Jesus Christ and thank my Heavenly Father each day for the gift of His son who has made it possible for me to repent and to return to live with Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to this earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the church of Jesus Christ and is led by a living prophet who receives revelation for our day. I know it and I feel it. The teachings of Jesus Christ help me keep an eternal perspective on the trials that I face each day; they help me to prioritize my time and efforts in a world that focuses on things that can never bring true happiness. Because Christ leads His church, I have the great blessings of knowing His will through scriptures and the teachings of a living prophet and apostles. As I live according to the scriptures, God's commandments, and counsel from divinely appointed leaders, I am blessed; I am happy; I feel sure of my purpose on earth and my eternal destiny. Because this is Christ's church, I am able to be sealed to my husband for time and for all eternity and my children can be sealed to us. We are a forever family and will be together for eternity. I am a Mormon because I have faith in Jesus Christ and in His way. I know that living as He did will bring the greatest joy in our lives now and forever!

How I live my faith

In my church, I am the choir director and I teach the young children during their singing time --did I mention I love to sing? I love teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ through music because music engages our hearts as well as our minds. I try to reach out to those around me who are struggling and have been blessed often as others have reached out to me. I try to see others as our Heavenly Father sees them. I try to love and serve others as Christ did. I feel the quickest way to feel happy is to see the good in others and to love and serve them. I know that obedience to our Heavenly Father's commandments brings sure blessings.
