Hi I'm Jomayra

I'm puerto rican, but currently live in the United States. I hope to pursue a carrier in architecture. I'm an LDS member.

About Me

I love drawing and designing things. I don't like to watch sports on TV, but do like to play them, especially basketball. I'm currently single. I have attended college. I am majoring in architecture.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS Church and from an early age I was taught the teachings of the gospel. Knowing these things has helped me throughout my life. Because of it I have made good choices. High School was the best time of my life. This was because I was able to learn how blessed I am. In high school people would say that I was different and at first I did not know what that meant, so the thought of people talking about me scared me and I did not like it. I was the type of person that preferred not being noticed and blended with the crowd. When some of my friend began to do thing contrary to what I was taught and believed to be right, we grew apart. I have always been the type of person to stand up for what I believe in and tell you if I did not like something. I don't remember ever being picked on in high school for being different but I do remember being respected for it. The couple friends that I had left knew my standards and did everything they could to respect them. Whenever we were going to hangout they chose activities that they knew I would be conferrable with and did not go against my beliefs. I ended up learning that being different was not a bad thing but in fact a good thing. I learned that people said I was different because they noticed and could see that I have standards, I know right from wrong, I know that my body is a temple, I am a mormon, I am a child of God, I know the God loves me and knows me individually, and I know that all things are possible through Jesus Christ our savior and redeemer. God is a big part of my life and I am thankful for that. I truly love this gospel and I don't know where I would be without it. I say this thing in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

How I live my faith

I have a calling with the girls in church (ages 8-12). I am the activity planner. 2-3 times a month we get together and do games, arts and craft, talent shows, plays, etc. These activities help the girls stay involved in the church, develop their talents, and get to now each other more. I also visit teach 5 members once a month. Some are more active then other. These are some of the ways I stay involved in the church.
